Junior Material Controller
As a Junior Material Controller, you will assist in the procurement, provision, and shipment of materials essential for aircraft maintenance. Working closely with the team, you will gain hands-on experience in material management, logistics, and compliance with aviation standards. This role provides a strong foundation for individuals eager to build a career in aviation supply chain and logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the procurement and provision of materials for Scheduled Aircraft Maintenance across Hangars, Line Stations, and outsourced maintenance needs.
- Assist in monitoring critical reports and updating information in internal systems accurately.
- Notify the responsible team member of any non-routine events, such as delays or technical issues.
- Track and document cargo movements using the designated tracking system.
- Assist in organizing shipping and return shipping processes.
- Maintain basic records of outstanding purchase orders with external vendors.
- Coordinate transportation and forwarding services under supervision to meet delivery schedules.
- Learn and assist with import and export processes, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
- Support inventory control by helping to manage aviation part stock levels.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in aviation, and logistics is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- High logical thinking ability to make well-reasoned decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong common sense for practical problem-solving and situational awareness.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to grow and take on new responsibilities.
